Originally founded in 1954 by Bill W. Kirby, Kirby Electric Company has long been a staple in the Central Florida Electrical industry. In 1985, Jerry and Dianne Wilkes decided to close their own electrical company, Westside Electric, and move to partner with Mr Kirby and the Kirby Electric Team. In 1987, the Wilkes Family decided to purchase the company and re-register it in the Wilkes name. Since that time, things simply became a family affair. With both Todd and Chad Wilkes following in their father's footsteps, each moved on to receive their Electrical Master's and State Contractors licenses. Both brothers are currently the active license holders for the company. Ever since that day in May of 1987, the Wilkes' family has worked diligently to stay committed to acting on their word and instilling the idea of quality work in their team. Our "We Love You" attitude is the true foundation of our company culture.
